Description: We are seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist for coverage. The provider will be added to a pool for ongoing shifts as needed. Coverage will be from 7 AM on December 21 through 7 AM on December 28. This position involves 24-hour call coverage. There will be no clinic coverage. The provider will cover the hospital, rounding on inpatients and performing procedures as needed. The role includes handling any ED inpatient consults. Locum will manage current GI patients and consults as handed off by local GIs. New ED or inpatient consults will also be handled by the locum. The provider will later hand off patients back to local GIs. The facility is a 196-bed acute care hospital. This role primarily focuses on adult patients, with pediatric cases seen in the ED only. ERCP training is preferred, but only candidates with prior privileges will be considered.
