Must-Have:

Bachelor's degree in Food Nutrition or Dietetics Dietetic internship or approved master's program with qualifying work experience

Description: Provide clinical nutrition support, care, and information to patients and staff. Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments on assigned units. Evaluate and recommend aggressive nutrition interventions. Provide follow-up for continuity of care. Counsel patients and family members in nutrition principles, modifications, and food selection. Adapt plans for individual lifestyles using appropriate written instructional materials. Communicate appropriate nutritional care data through patient medical records. Document using the Nutrition Care process and standardized language. Communicate nutrition care plans to appropriate physicians or support staff. Assist in maintenance and revision of diet manual, menus, policies, procedures, and standards of care. Interpret, evaluate, and utilize current research relating to nutrition based on current professional standards. Complete nutrition therapy to achieve desired patient goals. Document evaluations, daily progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries within diet manual guidelines and protocols. Participate in nutrition education, orientation, and in-service programs for staff, patients, students, and the community. Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management training for individuals and groups. Participate in and deliver long-term care and other nutritional services consulting agreements. Perform other duties as assigned.
