Physician - Family Practice
Shift Type: Mixed: some days 24hr (no call), other days -10 hrs in-building, Hospital coverage, no clinic.
Hours / Days: Long weekends - Th/Fr/Sat/Sun or Fr/Sat/Sun/Mon, 5 days welcome if they want.
Provider Requirements:
Provider Type: MD
EMR: Cerner
Specialty / Subspecialty: Family Medicine (FP able to perform OB / C-sections), covers ER overflow + hospitalist.
Board Requirements: Board certified with ATLS, PALS, and ALSO would be needed.
Minimum Experience: Must be comfortable in independent rural practice, -2-3 years likely sufficient.
Start Date: ASAP - maternity leave begins next month.
Expected Duration: 12 weeks (intermittent weekend coverage during the leave).
Call Duties: Yes - APCs are first call, physician covers ER overflow when busy, plus trauma coverage and OB emergencies.
Weekend / Holiday Coverage: Yes - weekend coverage is the core of the need (the 'long weekends' to relieve staff).
