Description:
Manager interviews are required.
Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within specified distance.
There is a call-off policy equivalent to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
Non-billable orientation hours apply.
Candidates must have Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and level 2 nursery experience.
The unit has four labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms.
There are three postpartum rooms and one delivery/procedure room.
The nurse to patient ratio follows AWHONN staffing guidelines based on patient acuity.
Travelers may float to other departments as required.
This may include rotation with permanent staff during peak periods.
Scrubs are provided for staff.
Preferred characteristics for travel staff include dependability, positivity, and motivation.
Orientation consists of three days of on-unit learning.
Specific skills required include caring for clean gynecological surgical patients.
The area offers a riverfront location with walking paths and a quaint downtown with boutiques and dining.
Testing may be part of the orientation process.
