Certifications: BLS, ARRT or RCIS/CCI (if RCIS, specific requirements for SCRQSA & SCBME)
Must-Have:
- Experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab
- Knowledge of Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations, IABP Placement/Removal
- Proficient in Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), and Right heart catheterization
- Skills in the following procedures: Rotablator atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment setup, and Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Ability to circulate in the room and maintain a sterile field
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE
Description:
The Cath Lab Tech plays a crucial role in the cardiac care environment.
They will perform essential diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
Participation in low STEMI call is required, approximately every third week.
Charting will be done using EPIC.
They will assist in various procedures including, but not limited to:
- Angioplasty
- Aortography
- Embolization
- Renal Angiography
- Temporary Pacemaker insertion
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and handle various patient diagnoses.
The daily census will typically involve around ten adult and geriatric patients.
Candidates must expect to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.
