Description:
Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment.
Progresses patient treatment as appropriate while carrying a patient load that reflects productivity standards.
Evaluates patients accurately and plans appropriate treatment.
Sets and meets functional goals for patients.
Revises and progresses treatment programs as goals are met.
Maintains documentation by keeping appropriate treatment records.
Completes accurate daily patient charges and patient records in a timely manner.
Accurately reflects in patient charges the time spent, procedures performed, and equipment used.
Maintains technical expertise through attendance and participation in continuing education activities.
Attends a high percentage of scheduled in-services and departmental meetings.
Provides instruction to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers.
Follows care path guidelines for patient and family education, along with documentation of home programs.
Adheres to daily operations guidelines.
Assists in scheduling and prioritizing daily work assignments.
Delegates patients to support personnel as appropriate.
Assists with training of new employees as requested.
Makes decisions regarding non-routine procedures under changing conditions.
Coordinates activities with others without direct supervision.
Leads others in the same work performed without direct supervision.
Works directly with patients and customers, including internal and external interactions.
Collaborates effectively with other healthcare professionals and staff.
