Description:
Executes specialized therapy plans designed by the occupational therapist.
Guides patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination.
Teaches patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating, often using adaptive techniques.
Instructs patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils.
Records detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns.
Reports findings to the supervising occupational therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed.
Provides emotional encouragement to patients and trains caregivers on how to assist with home programs.
Prepares treatment areas and cleans equipment.
May handle administrative duties related to scheduling.
