Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Experience in accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Familiarity with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias.
- Experience in managing patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, and renal failure preferred.
Description:
The position is for an RN specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry.
Candidates must be comfortable working with both adult and geriatric populations.
The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
Staffing ratios are typically 1 nurse for every 5 to 6 patients.
Candidates should have experience with thoracentesis, treating COPD exacerbations, and managing renal failure.
The role involves phlebotomy, administering medications, and maintaining IVs and other lines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this role.
Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.
Floating within the facility or to nearby facilities is required.
Candidates must be adept at using charting systems, particularly Cerner.
