License: Must possess appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
Certifications: Must hold a BLS, and one of the following licenses without any restrictions or supervision required: LCSW, LPC, LMFT.
Must-Have:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area.
Thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
Description:
The successful candidate will conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
They will provide treatment to inmates by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
Documentation of treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen is required.
Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times is essential.
The candidate will provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates.
The position requires skills in mental health screening, patient assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and confidentiality management.
Additional skills include psychological counseling and crisis intervention.
US Citizenship required for clearance.
