Description:
Cross posting for Labor and Delivery position with every other weekend required.
Required to be on call if on a low census shift.
Traveler may be required to float to other units to act as a sitter or assist as needed.
Scrubs will be provided.
Administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, and assistance with high-risk delivery is expected.
Experience in circulating for C-sections and recovering C-sections is required.
Responsibilities include starting and maintaining IVs, performing sterile vaginal exams, and triaging obstetrical patients.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and pain assessment and management is necessary.
Familiarity with use of infusion pumps and monitoring IVs is required.
Expect to assist with forceps or vacuum extraction and manage hemorrhage or shock situations.
Daily patient ratios are expected to maintain at 2 throughout all shifts.
Candidates who reside within a defined radius from the facility will not be considered for this role.
Travelers must complete a respirator clearance prior to starting the assignment.
Travelers must be clean-shaven for fit testing.
No exceptions for medical or religious exemptions will be permitted regarding fit testing.
Failure to comply with fit testing requirements may result in cancellation of the assignment.
All clinicians cannot work as travelers for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning.
