Description: Opening as targeted search. Coverage needed for ED physician. Onsite orientation required 1 day prior to first block of assigned shifts. September shifts are scheduled from 8 AM to 8 PM on 9/9 through 9/11. There may be an ongoing need for future dates. The average number of patients seen per day is 36. Support staff includes ED registered nurses and 1 advanced practice provider. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient care. Type of charting/EMR used is Meditech. The average number of admissions per shift is 3 per day. Temp privileges are granted in needed situations. The facility has a trauma level of 3 and does not receive newborn deliveries in the ED. There is a labor and delivery department available. Certain support services are available 24 hours, including anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, and radiology. Fellowship training is not required. Emergency medicine board certification is mandatory. Credentialing takes approximately 30 days or as fast as required documents are submitted.
