Must-Have:
- Skills in anticoagulation therapy, clinical dosing, geriatric dosing, high-alert medication dosing, pediatric dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, and therapeutic medication monitoring
- Skills in intravenous preparation (antibiotics, compounding, intravenous piggyback, sterile technique)
- Proficiency in medication dispensing systems
Description:
This position requires a pharmacist to work a 4x10 day shift.
Specific hours may vary.
Weekends are required.
The pharmacist will be the only staff member in the inpatient pharmacy during shift hours.
Pharmacists are not expected to attend code blues or rapid responses.
In addition to order verification, the pharmacist will work from a clinical alerts queue to address any alerts related to pharmacokinetics and renal dosing.
Candidates should have experience in managing drug shortages.
Knowledge of pharmacotherapy management for various medical problems, including cardiovascular and infectious diseases, is essential.
Experience in the management of medications for diverse patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, is preferred.
Flexibility to work some holidays may be required.
RTO should be kept to a minimum, with any requests needing approval before the start of the assignment.
