Description:
Flu vaccination is required for all travelers between November 1 and April 1.
Position requires rotating shifts, specifically nights.
The general weekly requirement is for 36 hours.
Weekends include Friday and Saturday nights.
No call requirements unless placed on standby.
This role includes floating to other medical/surgical departments as needed.
The unit has a total of 32 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6, although not guaranteed.
Patient population includes surgical patients and overflow from medical/surgical services.
Types of patients include orthopedic, bowel, urological surgeries, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, dental cases, back issues, pneumonia, chest pain, and COPD.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with remote tele monitoring systems.
Dress code is black scrubs.
Unacceptable attire includes anything other than the specified scrub color.
Candidates should be adaptable and willing to collaborate with team members.
