Must-Have:
- Evaluation and treatment of both short-term and long-term patients in the skilled nursing facility setting
- Supervision and assistance of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Timely documentation and treatment completion
- Development of individualized treatment plans based on physician orders
- Assistance for residents to improve their independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), functional mobility, cognition, upper extremity function, and overall quality of life
- Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to promote safe discharge and maximize each resident's functional potential through various treatment approaches
Description:
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients in a skilled nursing facility.
This role includes providing supervision and assistance to COTAs.
Timely documentation and treatment completion are essential responsibilities.
The OT will develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
The aim is to help residents improve their independence in ADLs and functional mobility.
Additionally, focus on enhancing cognition and upper extremity function is key.
