Description:
The physician will oversee patient encounters with 2-4 patients per shift.
Skills in low risk and routine deliveries are essential.
High risk pregnancies are preferred but not mandatory.
FHR interpretation through NST, CST, and FSE is preferred.
Performance and interpretation of OB ultrasounds are preferred, including Level I and Level II screenings.
Competence in amniocentesis and decision-making for cesarean sections is preferred.
Routine vaginal deliveries are required along with skills in low forceps deliveries.
Experience with complicated deliveries, breech presentations, and multiple births is preferred.
The physician should be comfortable with VBAC procedures, though this is not required.
Repairing 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations is preferred.
Experience in office/minor gynecology procedures, including IUD placements, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP is preferred.
Operative/major surgical procedures, including ectopic pregnancies and ovary removals, are preferred.
Laser certification is also preferred.
