Description:
This is a 13-week assignment.
The shift time is 0530 - 1800.
Candidates must have a current state license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
Strong OB experience is required.
Candidates must be team players, and any requested time off must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract.
Registered Respiratory Therapists are responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized comprehensive respiratory care to all patients based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
They are accountable to the Cardiopulmonary Director.
In the absence of the Director, they are responsible to the Lead RRT.
Once oriented, the RRT is expected to function with minimal supervision.
Candidates will maintain BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification.
They must practice within the scope of practice of a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Preferred is one year of current acute care experience, but new graduates may be considered.
Candidates must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds from floor to waist.
They must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds from wheelchair to bed level and five (5) pounds overhead.
Candidates should be able to pull fifty (50) pounds from stretcher to bed and push a one hundred fifty (150) pound loaded stretcher for 300 feet.
Auditory ability is needed to perform procedures and take accurate blood pressures.
Vision must be adequate to observe patients and complete charting procedures.
Candidates should meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department.
Holiday coverage is required.
