Description:
The registered nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an intensive care unit setting.
The nurse will manage patients with complex medical needs and critical conditions.
Experience in charting with the Epic system is required.
The nurse will be responsible for accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and assisting with chest tube insertion and removal.
The role includes blood product administration and management of ventilated patients.
The nurse will demonstrate proficiency in central line care and management, as well as the ability to monitor patients’ central venous pressure.
Nurses will be responsible for the administration of continuous IV sedation and monitoring patients on neuromuscular blockade.
The nurse will interpret arterial blood gases and manage patients experiencing acute strokes or other emergency conditions.
Communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy are essential.
Candidates must be willing to float to other areas as needed.
Additionally, the role includes participation in patient education and care planning.
A strong focus on infection prevention and maintaining patient safety is required.
