Description: This position is for a locum physician in hematology and oncology. Coverage is needed for an outpatient clinic schedule. The schedule is flexible and typically includes Tuesdays through Fridays. The expected dates of need are 3 to 4 days a week for 4 weeks each month. Shift times are from 8 AM to 5 PM or could be from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. There is a 1-hour lunch break each day. The provider is required to complete a minimum of 3 to 4 shifts each week. The clinic is integrated with an infusion center. A strong, experienced team of nurse practitioners and registered nurses is available. Social work services are also onsite. Additional services include a dietician, palliative care, and oncology nurse navigator. The clinic has recently been remodeled and features 9 infusion chairs and 4 exam rooms. There is a dedicated nurse manager for the oncology team. This team consistently receives high staff satisfaction scores. The team has experienced low turnover rates. The number of patient encounters for each shift is expected to be around 10. Lodging recommendations will be provided for long-term stays. The facility operates with a trauma level of 0.
