Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic hospital team.
The LPN will work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital environment.
This role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and supporting patient recovery.
Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, wound care,and assisting with personal care needs.
Monitor patient progress and report changes in health status to the supervising RN or physician.
Assist in the preparation and execution of medical procedures and treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans based on patient needs.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring comfort and well-being during hospitalization.
Support the education of patients and families regarding discharge instructions and ongoing care needs.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
Respond to patient emergencies and assist with resuscitation and stabilization procedures as needed.
Requirements:
Active Licensed Practical Nurse
CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS or other relevant certifications may be preferred depending on the department.
Previous hospital experience is an asset, but new graduates will also be considered.
Strong clinical skills, including IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to assess patient conditions and prioritize care in a high-acuity setting.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and thorough documentation.
