Must-Have:

Provider must be able to perform mammography procedures including needle biopsies and stereotactic breast biopsies. Provider must be capable of reading general radiology studies. Provider should be skilled in light interventional radiology procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis. Experience in biopsies for thyroid, lung, bone, liver, renal, with CT or ultrasound guidance is required. Experience in drainage procedures for paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess, chest tube, and cysts is necessary. Experience with lumbar punctures for diagnostic purposes and myelograms is expected.

Description: This position is onsite only. The case mix includes a variety of mammography screenings and diagnostic procedures. The expected volume is approximately 90 to 100 reads per 8-hour shift. The provider must achieve around 60 to 70 work Relative Value Units (wRVUs) per 8-hour shift. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position covers full-time hours. Credentialing typically takes 30 to 60 days. The facility uses PACS and Epic as their dictation and EMR systems, respectively. Productivity targets are actively monitored, and if standards are not met, a 15-day notice of cancellation may be issued. During this period, the provider will continue to work and may possibly have their contract reinstated if productivity improves. All providers must maintain a minimum of 40 hours of scheduled shifts per month. Providers are expected to have three months of shifts scheduled at all times. This role requires continuous monitoring of productivity during shifts. All providers must be Board Certified. Candidates should be aware of a potentially variable timeline for the contracting process.
