Therapy - Mental Health Therapist

Experience:

Minimum years of experience in providing group and individual therapy to adolescents.

License:

One of the following independent licenses is required:

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)

Certifications:

Completion of continuing professional education for license renewal in accordance with relevant regulations.

Must-Have:

Experience working with adolescents who are justice-system involved is preferred.

Description: The Behavioral Health Provider operates under general supervision. In this part-time contract role, you will provide group treatment and individual therapy sessions to assigned youth. Documentation of clinical services provided is required. You will provide clinical summaries and updates to the behavioral health supervisor for youth's treatment team. Your work will contribute to positive outcomes and youth well-being within a unique context. Responsibilities include providing group treatment for youth with court orders or assessed needs. You will also provide individual, one-on-one therapy sessions for youth on the mental health caseload. Clinical summaries and reports of youth progress or barriers to progress must be completed meticulously. Collaboration with the behavioral health supervisor will facilitate seamless service delivery.

Unusual Working Conditions: May encounter clients who are potentially violent. May be exposed to unusual noise, odors, or contagious diseases.
