Description:
This position requires working Monday to Friday, with potential adjustments for departmental needs.
The role involves a 60-minute unpaid lunch break within the 7-hour shift.
Previous training in LPN and experience in pediatrics is preferred.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
A current state license and registration as an LPN are mandatory.
Candidates must have a current BLS certification from an accepted provider.
Knowledge of infection control principles, performance improvement principles, and delegation principles is essential.
Responsibilities include performing assessments and monitoring vital signs, conducting telephone triage, and managing medication reconciliation.
Other duties may include clean catch urine collection, phlebotomy, interpreting lab results, and assisting with various pediatric conditions.
Candidates are expected to have experience with electronic charting systems, preferably Epic.
All candidates must complete verification of work history and education prior to starting.
Candidates will need to complete required labs in a timely manner.
Modules and training related to the position must be completed before starting.
This role supports the pediatric patient population and involves diverse administrative and clinical duties.
A collaborative approach to patient care is essential.
Candidates should be prepared to engage with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care delivery.
