Must-Have: BLS not required

Description: Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and postoperative phases. Prepare equipment and supplies for use by the medical team. Clean and sterilize equipment and reusable supplies. Assemble case carts/trays and perform direct patient care as needed. Work as a high-functioning member of a team supporting clinics and procedural areas. Support over 72 operating rooms and handle complex tray configurations. Assist with a variety of services including ophthalmology, neurosurgery, ENT, trauma, transplant, cardiac, orthopedic, labor and delivery, fetal surgery, general surgery, and robotic cases. Support within a level 1 trauma center. Special skills include biological indicators, chemical indicators, immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), and proper selection of wrapping materials. Experience with sterilization wrapping procedures and steam sterilization testing/monitoring is preferred. Adhere to restrictions regarding the use of earbuds/cellphones while on shift. Location restrictions apply with no locals accepted within a 75-mile radius. RTO restrictions allow a maximum of 7 days. Attendance records indicate that two or more attendance issues within the 13-week contract are considered excessive. CensiTrac instrument tracking is strongly preferred, and experience with Belimed washers/sterilizers is also preferred. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is required. All travelers will float within the service line as necessary.
