Description: We are seeking a Medical Surgical LPN/LVN for an acute care setting. The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical surgical unit. The shift schedule consists of working three 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Every other weekend is mandatory. The facility is a nonprofit, critical access hospital with 83 beds. There is no call required for this position. Basic nursing skills in medical-surgical care are essential. The LPN/LVN may be expected to work charge. Various patient populations will be served, including adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately six patients, with a patient ratio of four. Experiences with telemetry and medication management are required. The documentation system used is Point Click Care. Float may be required to other units in rotation with staff. Expectation to work some holidays during the contract duration. Orientation is not required prior to start, but appropriate training will be provided upon assignment.
