Non-Clinical - Admin Assistant

Certifications: CPI Certificate preferred

Must-Have: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, effective communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Description: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Three years of general clerical and/or administrative experience in healthcare is required. PC literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet is essential. Excellent typing and data entry skills are required. Proficient transcription skills may be required. Must be proficient with one of the following systems: Smartsheets, EPIC OpTime, Timekeeping/Workforce Management. Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate effectively with medical staff, colleagues, patients, and visitors. Ability to establish working relationships that foster quality customer service is important. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred in some areas. Knowledge and ability to understand procedures, practices, and policies in the assigned area of work are essential. Excellent filing and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize own work are required. Ability to maintain confidentiality, work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet related deadlines is crucial. Demonstrated sensitivity and awareness of customer needs when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers, and healthcare staff is important.
