Therapy - RRT

Profession: Respiratory Therapy

Hours per Shift: 36 Guaranteed

Experience: Minimum 2 years required; must have completed at least one 13-week assignment.

License: State Licensure required

Certifications:

BLS required NRP required ACLS preferred PALS preferred National Accreditation through NBRC required Registered Respiratory Therapist highly preferred; CRT accepted

Must-Have:

Comfortable attending high-risk deliveries. Experience supporting Level 3 NICU/PICU. High-risk delivery experience, including intubation of neonates if necessary. Airway and ventilator management skills. Experience with ABG puncture and analysis. Non-invasive ventilation experience. Code Blue and rapid response experience. Experience in inhaled medication administration, including nitric oxide.

Description:

Will work through multiple campuses with a driving distance of 20-25 minutes between locations.

Will support various treatment areas, including ED, ICU, Stepdown, and Med/Tele.

Patient types include COPD, CHF, Flu, Pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, Lung CA, Stroke, ALS, post-CABG, post-Liver/Kidney Transplant, and surgeries requiring tracheostomy.

Support will be provided within the department by a Director, Assistant Director, Shift Supervisors, Team Leads, and Educators.

Equipment used includes Servo U, Servo I, Trilogy, V60, EV300, Vapotherm HVT, Vapotherm Precision Flow, Airvo 2, Percussion Air IPV, ResMed Lumis TX, and NICU-specific equipment.

Flexibility to float between campuses is required.

Scheduling will involve a rotation that may include 36/48-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off, or 3/2 and 5/2 rotating weeks.

Weekend rotation is every other weekend.

Call responsibilities include two call shifts per month, with a minimum of two hours.

Additional call opportunities are available on a voluntary basis.

Staff will receive orientation for transport equipment, documentation, and procedures.

Scrub color is pewter.
