Description:
This position involves evaluating claimants/clients by administering tests and measurements.
Assessments may include range of motion, gait, functional analysis, and neurological evaluations.
The goal is to determine individual rehabilitation program needs.
The role requires providing or overseeing ongoing assessment of claimants'/clients' rehabilitation.
The Physical Therapist prepares, transmits, and maintains measurement and assessment records.
Reports of tests, assessments, and measurements are communicated to interdisciplinary teams as requested.
Participation in writing and presenting individual claimant/client treatment plans is essential.
This includes formulating goals and planning appropriate physical therapy treatment.
The position entails periodic reassessment of claimant/client progress and revising plans as necessary.
Ongoing continuing education and in-service training participation is required.
Involvement in research projects, program development, and training of pre-clinical and clinical physical therapy students, physical therapy assistant students, and licensed physical therapy assistants is expected.
Therapy aides may also receive training as part of this role.
