Must-Have: Trauma experience required; pulmonary function testing preferred.

Description: Minimum experience of 1 year is required. First timers are accepted. Patient population includes infants to geriatrics. Primarily adult RRT but will work with pediatric intubated patients as well. Responsibilities include managing non-invasive ventilation and conventional ventilation. Aerosol therapy and bedside pulmonary function tests are also performed. The role involves performing arterial lines and oxygen management. Patient education is a key component of the position. Arterial blood gases, capillary blood gases, and draws from lines are part of the duties. Experience in trauma is required. Preferred experience includes pulmonary function testing (spirometry testing). The facility employs systems such as Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, and GE Carescape. Scrub color is slate gray. Floating within the facility and sister campuses may be required. Holiday work may be necessary during assignment periods. Full compliance is required to start on time. Compliance must be completed within given deadlines. Professional experience should include adult critical care and various respiratory skills. Skills include aerosol setup with masks and tracheostomies, as well as interpreting arterial blood gases. The environment includes a trauma center and regional transport resource. Duties also encompass troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
