Must-Have: Experience in both Labor & Delivery

Description: This position primarily involves Labor & Delivery nursing but requires the ability to float to the Med-Surg floor when Labor & Delivery is closed. The Labor & Delivery RN monitors maternal and fetal well-being. Manages labor progression and assists with deliveries. Responds promptly to obstetric emergencies. This role demands strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills. The nurse provides emotional support to patients and families during significant moments. Responsibilities include administering medications. Performing cervical exams within scope and interpreting fetal monitoring strips. Preparing patients for operative deliveries and providing postpartum education. This nurse plays a critical role in promoting a positive birth experience. Ensures optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn.
