- Ability to fabricate or modify splints for upper extremity therapeutic management
- Ability to perform wheelchair evaluations
Description:
Department: Occupational Therapy
Certifications Required: BLS, MN License
NBCOT preferred but not required
No clinical involvement required
Number of patients treated per day: 8-12
Common diagnoses/types of patients include outpatient orthopedic upper extremity, lymphedema, inpatient total joint replacements, inpatient general medical, neurological impairments, and outpatient mental health
Experience required: 1-2 years preferred, 3-4 years preferred
Previous travel experience is not needed
Care settings include adult outpatient, adult acute inpatient, and adult swing bed
Required areas of coverage are outpatient and inpatient
EMR used is Epic
There is a Director of Rehab Services on-site daily
No COTAs available, only one rehab aide
Shifts and scheduling occur Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Self-scheduling or block scheduling is not allowed
No weekend or holiday requirements
Dress code is professional casual; scrubs are allowed
One shift of unit-specific orientation
Candidates must meet a radius rule of 50 miles
Additional requests for time off will not be approved after submissions
Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled for a 13-week assignment
Charting system used is Epic
BSN is not required
Trauma level is CAH
Care setting is acute
