Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg - Ortho Telemetry.
The unit has 12 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5-6 to 1.
Common diagnoses include orthopedic types of patients.
Registered Nurses on this unit will be required to read telemetry strips.
Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, and Nurse Educators are available for support.
Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) will be present on the unit at a ratio of 12 to 1.
The unit cares for patients needing CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
Scheduling is managed by the nurse manager, and block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Registered Nurses will be required to work every other weekend and on holidays.
Floating to all Med/Tele units is a requirement.
