Description:
Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations.
Communication treatment plans may include techniques that help the individual to be better understood, and also to help them better understand others.
Leads, guides, and directs the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in the facility in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures.
The goal is to provide appropriate care and services to residents.
