Description:
Locum tenens invasive interventional cardiologist needed.
Looking for coverage for specific dates only.
Seeking candidates who can work these specific dates.
Must provide emergency room call coverage.
On call for interventional and primary call during the specified timeframe.
There will be 24/7 interventional cardiology call.
Special skills required include interventional cardiology and echocardiogram interpretation, including TEE.
Support staff includes a three-person 24/7 call team.
Daily staffing includes support to operate two labs on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; one lab on Thursdays and Fridays.
Practice EMR systems include Epic, Meditech, and Merge MUSE.
Daily patient volume is approximately 12.
Responsibilities include providing full general cardiology and interventional cardiology consultative services.
Duties include reading transthoracic echocardiograms, performing TEEs, conducting cardiac stress tests, and reading ECGs.
The role involves general and interventional cardiology consultations and follow-up as needed.
Procedures include heart catheterization, coronary intervention, temporary pacing lead placement, and IABP.
Will perform cardioversions.
The role physically works in a designated facility.
The locum will read echos and ECGs from other hospitals, following the same process as for reading echos and ECGs from the primary facility.
The locum will take phone calls from the transfer service and answering service.
