Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The unit has a capacity of 22 beds and is a Level III NICU.
The assignment is for a duration of 8 weeks.
The shift is from 19:00 to 07:00.
The nurse will be expected to work 3 shifts per week.
Patient ratios for feeder grower are 1:3, and for higher acuity patients, it is 1:2.
Support staff includes Clinical Nurses and Charge RNs.
Equipment used includes ventilators, CR monitors, Vapotherm, CPAP, and IV systems.
Documentation is managed through a system with both electronic and paper flow sheets.
All neonatal-specific cares are performed on this unit.
The nurse will assist with bedside procedures including intubation, central line placement, and chest tube placement.
There is a supportive environment with experienced RNs available for collaboration.
There is a strong focus on patient satisfaction and overall hospital experience.
The team includes board-certified neonatologists and an NNP support team.
Live-stream cameras are available for family use to enhance patient experience.
