Description: This position is for a locum tenens physician in emergency medicine. Physicians with a clean NPDB/file are encouraged to apply. The role involves providing coverage at various regional hospitals. There is an immediate need for coverage in a specific facility. Most shifts involve single coverage with some overlap. Two advanced practice clinicians will provide double coverage during certain shifts. The admission rate is approximately 20%. There are over 20 shifts available each month. Flexibility with the number of locum physicians can be accommodated. Two smaller facilities are located within a thirty-minute drive. The location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Activities available include hiking, birdwatching, and skiing. Patient encounters per shift range from 17 to 23. Credentialing time may take between 60 to 90 days. Emergency department has available support services, including anesthesia and general surgery, among others. Newborn deliveries are received in the emergency department. There is a labor and delivery department available.
