Must-Have:

Previous charge experience preferred
Experience with Epic charting system required
Travel experience required
Medical and religious exemptions only for COVID-19 and flu vaccines

Description: ICU nurse responsible for delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients. May float to progressive care and medical surgical units as needed. Will consider 36/48 hour alternating schedules. Patient to nurse ratio is 2:1. Must have skills in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and assisting with chest tube insertion and removal. Experience in blood product administration and care of ventilated patients is necessary. Must be proficient in central line care and management, chronic and acute renal failure, and continuous IV sedation and paralysis management. Knowledge of CVA and acute stroke management is essential. Familiarity with emergency medications and external ventricular drain (EVD) care is required. Candidates should have experience in GI surgery and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management. Understanding hypothermia protocols and ICP monitoring is advantageous. Infection prevention practices must be followed strictly. Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is necessary. Isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) must be adhered to. Experience in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure is essential. Neuro intensive care unit experience is preferred. Skills in phlebotomy and PICC line management are required. Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management experience is beneficial. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring skills are desired. Experience with spinal cord injury management is a plus. Ability to initiate and maintain IVs is required. Skills in suctioning are necessary. Comfort with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is expected. Experience in managing traumatic brain injury cases is mandatory. Competence in ventilator management is crucial.
