Description:
Coverage is required for 24-hour call.
The provider will be responsible for rounding on patients.
On-call duties include emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
The provider will also be available for any emergent gynecological procedures.
High-risk deliveries will only be managed in emergent situations.
High-risk patients will be transferred to an appropriate facility if necessary.
The average monthly delivery count is 27.
There are typically 11 C-sections per month.
The facility has 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum beds.
The census is generally 1-3 deliveries per 24 hours.
Clientist support staff is available 24/7.
Anesthesiology support is also on call 24/7.
Radiology support is available round the clock.
Providers must be within a specified distance from the hospital.
The provider will be housed in available accommodations nearby.
Provider must be actively delivering babies and able to submit case logs for the past 24 months.
Candidates must not have recent or open malpractice cases.
Disciplinary actions, if any, must be disclosed as part of the application.
Patient encounters per shift may vary based on demand.
Obstetrics and gynecology specialty skills required include:
Low-risk pregnancy management.
Routine delivery capabilities are essential.
Experience with vaginal deliveries is mandatory.
The ability to perform C-sections and handle complicated deliveries is required.
Skills in managing breech and multiple births are needed.
Experience with VBACs is necessary.
The provider should be able to repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
Office and minor gynecology procedures experience is required.
Surgical gynecology skills, including open and laparoscopic procedures, are essential.
Laser certification is required for specific procedures.
