Description:
General orthopedic surgery.
24-hour call coverage is required.
Certification in Board is mandatory.
Provider must have an active state license and DEA.
Provider must be vaccinated.
Consults per day typically range from 0 to 3.
Visits to the emergency department for closed reductions and admissions generally range from 0 to 2.
Surgeries per day may include wrist, ankle, hip fractures, and incisions and drainage procedures, generally ranging from 0 to 2.
Long bone trauma is stabilized and transferred as necessary.
Capped hours for additional activities are limited to 4.
Surgeons will be provided with hospital-owned individual apartments on-site, which are clean and comfortable, equipped with cable and Wi-Fi.
Providers must remain within a 20-minute radius of the facility while on call.
Credentialing with Medicaid/Medicare and enrollment as a provider is required.
Necessary certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
The facility does not permit the handling of trauma patients.
