Travel experience required
Critical care and charge experience preferred

License:

Current NYS RN license required

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
Defibrillation certified within six months of employment

Must-Have:

MEDITECH experience required
Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
Thorough knowledge of nursing principles
Ability to provide quality patient care
Ability to assess patient's needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual

Description:

Must recognize safety issues to self and others
Ability to assess and implement the use of lifts to move patients safely
Must function well in stressful situations
Strong, creative problem-solving skills are essential
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills are required
